Abstract

Net support is one of network application. It allows the administrator to control other connected clients which also installed net support. There are many types that can be installed:

Student

Installs the Student software. This feature (the Client) should be installed on workstations/devices that will be remote controlled.

Tutor

Installs the Tutor software. This feature (the Control) should be installed on workstations/devices which will be used to remote control other PCs.

IT Technician

Installs the Tech Console.  This feature should be installed on workstations that will be managing and maintaining computers.

Custom

Allows you to pick and choose which features to install on the workstation.

Pre-Requisites

Windows XP (SP3),  2003 (SP2), Vista, 2008, Windows 7,  Windows 8 and 8.1.
50Mbytes free disk space for Student-only installation.
140Mbytes free disk space for a Tutor-only installation.
100Mbytes free disk space for an IT Technician-only installation.
160Mbytes free disk space for full installation.
TCP/IP.

Wireless Network Watcher

Abstract

Wireless Network Watcher is simple software utility that scan clients of a wireless network and shows in a list. Information contained in list are ip address, MAC Address, the company that manufactured the network card, and optionally the computer name. We can also export the connected devices list into html/xml/csv/text file, or copy the list to the clipboard and then paste into Excel or other spreadsheet application.

Instalasi Web Server di Debian

Abstract

 Debian is one of network operation system of which a lot of utilities and facilities to be installed, one of its utility is Web Server. Web Server is a computer system that processes requests via HTTP, the basic network protocol used to distribute information on the World Wide Web. The term can refer either to the entire system, or specifically to the software that accepts and supervises the HTTP requests. by this utility, administrator can store his source file of a website. client can access the information via website by clicking the ip address of the web server, or domain of the server when the server has been registered in a domain

Procedures:

1. Ketik “apt-get install php4 www-mysql mysql-common phpmyadmin” ,enter

2. Masukkan CD yang diminta
3. Saat memasukan CD terakhir yang diminta maka akan muncul tampilan seperti pada gambar, pilih apache lalu tekan enter.

4. Akan muncul pertanyaan do you want me to add it now?, ketik y lalu tekan enter.

5. Prose install phpmyadmin telah selesai.
6. Selanjutnya kita akan mengkonfigurasi web server. Pertama kita masukkan perintah vi /etc/apache/httpd.conf lalu tekan enter.

7. Pada baris ke-241 , 310  dan 1012 hilangkan tanda pagarnya.

8. Pada baris 310 edit ServerName

9. Setelah anda simpan dan keluar, maka install lynx dengan perintah apt-get install lynx tekan enter.

10. Masukan CD sesuai permintaan lalu tekan enter.

11. Saat proses install telah selesai kita dapat melakukan pengujian apakah web server telah berhasil dengan mengikuti perintah sebagai berikut :

12. Buat file  info.php, ketik “nano /var/www/info.php” tekan enter. Lalu Ketik seperti ini.

13. Kemudian save dengan menekan ctrl+o atau F3
14. Tekan ctrl+x atau F2 untuk keluar

15. Pada client masuklah pada browser. Pada address ketik stemba.sch.id/info.phpBila web server berhasil maka akan muncul tampilan sebagai berikut.

Menginstal DHCP Server di Debian

Abstract

Debian is one of network operation system of which a lot of utilities and facilities to be installed, one of its utility is DHCP Server. DHCP Server is a server that rules the IP address of the clients. by this utility, client of wireless or wired network can automatically get proper IP address without manually set if the clients enable the automatic IP Address. The common addresses that DHCP Server give to clients are IP address, network address, and subnet mask. Installing DHCP Server still need Debian CD installation in order to copy needed files.  

 Procedures:

 1.     Menginstal file-file dhcp. Ketik apt-get install dhcp3-server.

2.     Selanjutnya ketik “Y” .

3.     Masukan CD yang diminta

4.     Ketik interface yang akan digunakan untuk DHCP

5.     Tekan OK

6.     Tunggu proses

7.     Lalu ketik “nano /etc/dhcp3 /dhcpd.conf”

8.     Edit seperti dibawah

9.     Tekan ctrl+o atau F3 ,enter  untuk menyimpan

10.  Tekan ctrl+x atauF2 untuk keluar

11.  Lalu restart dengan perintah “/etc/init.d/dhcp3-server restart”

12.  Kemudian obtainkan settingan IP pada PC Client

13.  Lihat hasilnya

14.  Tes dengan ping

15.  DHCP server selesai

Instalasi dan Setting IP address Linux Debian Woody

 Abstract

         Debian is one of Linux distro. This Operating System is free to download. An Operating System is the set of basic programs and utilities that make our computer run. Debian at least has 37500 packages (precompiled software that is bundled up in a nice format for easy installation on your machine), a package manager (APT), and other utilities that make it possible to manage thousands of packages on thousands of computers as easily as installing a single application. Installing Debian needs easy step to do, Setting IP address becoming important thing to do after installing the OS if we want to install further network utilities.

 

 Prosedur Instalasi:

1.          Atur booting dari CD, pastikan harddisk pada posisi primary master

2.          Pada jendela Welcome to Debian, ketikkan bf24 pada boot, tekan Enter

Abstract

Windows 8.1 is an operating system which contains a lot of features. Those features are designed to ease the users access information. Some of features need to be configured in order to run them successfully. Most of features need user’s Microsoft account as the primary account to configure the settings. Windows 8 is completed with Start Screen which helps user a lot. Some features are attached on Start Screen, and user can costumize size of features tiles on it. On the other hand, user can still see the desktop we’re used to.

Installing virtual machine inside PC should be followed by installing operating system on it. without operating system on it, virtual machine will be nothing. Installing OS only take few steps, make sure that OS master is in our hand. on this tutorial, the operating system used is Windows XP. the process of installing Operating System in Virtual Machine is not significantly different with installing OS in regular PC. the addition process is in the first configuration, because we have to configure the virtual machine first, like adding disk space, open master installation file of XP, yet the rest of the step is just like the common installation in PC.
