Menginstal DHCP Server di Debian

Abstract

Debian is one of network operation system of which a lot of utilities and facilities to be installed, one of its utility is DHCP Server. DHCP Server is a server that rules the IP address of the clients. by this utility, client of wireless or wired network can automatically get proper IP address without manually set if the clients enable the automatic IP Address. The common addresses that DHCP Server give to clients are IP address, network address, and subnet mask. Installing DHCP Server still need Debian CD installation in order to copy needed files.  

 Procedures:

 1.     Menginstal file-file dhcp. Ketik apt-get install dhcp3-server.

2.     Selanjutnya ketik “Y” .

3.     Masukan CD yang diminta

4.     Ketik interface yang akan digunakan untuk DHCP

5.     Tekan OK

6.     Tunggu proses

7.     Lalu ketik “nano /etc/dhcp3 /dhcpd.conf”

8.     Edit seperti dibawah

9.     Tekan ctrl+o atau F3 ,enter  untuk menyimpan

10.  Tekan ctrl+x atauF2 untuk keluar

11.  Lalu restart dengan perintah “/etc/init.d/dhcp3-server restart”

12.  Kemudian obtainkan settingan IP pada PC Client

13.  Lihat hasilnya

14.  Tes dengan ping

15.  DHCP server selesai
